We investigate Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI) as the coordinated efforts by state or non-state actors to manipulate the information space, undermine democratic processes, and destabilise societies.
We recognise that these sophisticated campaigns often target vulnerable populations, including refugees and migrants, to sow division.
Through our research and teaching, we ensure that public discourse relies on verified facts, safeguarding the information space from systematic manipulation.
We use open-source investigation and digital forensics to trace the origins and pathways of these campaigns.
By exposing how FIMI operates, we help governments and civil society build resilient information ecosystems and protect civic integrity against external manipulation.
